Istrilene - 55 years young - Part 3 – Foam and color

For the third and final part about the first products that appeared in the range, we talk about very important products at the time that were also easier to sell than 'skin care'.

After our three basic products, our bath foams were soon added. Customers who have been buying Istrilene for a long time will remember the large, heavy 1-liter glass bottles, and certainly the pine bath foam that was very popular at the time.

Especially the fact that you only had to use a small tablespoon of product, and that you had more foam than water in your bath 😊 was very special back then! Don't forget that we are talking about the late 60s, early 70s, when 'taking a bath' only happened once a week.

Meanwhile, times have changed, and so have our products. Bath foam is used less, except in the winter to warm us up.

We have now thoroughly adjusted our bath foams in terms of formulas. The excessive foaming is under control by using a stabilizer, and the raw materials are of very high quality and contain:

A natural skin softening ingredient that adapts the cleansing action to the nature and structure of the skin. After taking a bath or shower, the natural protective film produced by the skin has disappeared. The Istrilene foam baths are composed so that the skin can rebuild this film in a minimum of time. This way, the skin will feel soft, even with regular bathing. A foam stabilizer ensures that the foam lasts for a very long time.

 

This makes us very skin-friendly and extremely economical in use . We know that our normal prices are on the higher side, but this fully reflects the quality of our bath foam and its successors in the range of shower products.

We also quickly introduced our 'colours' to the range, namely lipstick, nail polish, eye shadow, blush, gloss foundation and many others.

Because these products are seasonal and a large supply has developed on the broad market over the years, they are no longer of strategic importance within Istrilene. We still have some basic products that we keep and offer with two very exceptional Istrilene formulas :
